Summary

We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). We also do not process personal data for targeted advertising or profiling, as defined in the privacy laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and other US states.

  • Your vault contents stay encrypted on your device. We have no account system and no servers holding them.
  • The website uses no analytics or marketing cookies.
  • The free app shows non-personalised ads only. Pro removes ads entirely.

Global Privacy Control

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that tells websites you want to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. We honour it automatically on this website — you don’t need to do anything else.

When we detect a GPC signal:

  • the Marketing category in our consent manager is switched off and cannot be turned on;
  • your choice is saved with a note that GPC was detected; and
  • the cookie banner confirms that your opt-out is being honoured.

Because we don’t sell, share or use data for targeted advertising in the first place, GPC confirms what already happens. GPC is a browser signal, so it applies to this website; for the app, use the in-app controls below.

Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising

Even though we don’t do any of these things, you can still send us an opt-out request. Email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com.

When we receive it, we will:

  • record your preference;
  • make sure it stays that way, including if our practices ever change; and
  • confirm within 3 business days. We don’t need your PIN, vault data or any sensitive information to do this.

Limit the use of sensitive personal information

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA or other US state laws. Everything you store in your vault — passwords, cards, documents, notes and 2FA codes — is encrypted and stays on your device. We cannot see it, so there is nothing to limit. In-app advertising controls

The free version of the Personal Vault app shows ads through Google AdMob. We only request non-personalised ads. You have these controls:

  • Android Advertising ID: on Android 12 and later, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete advertising ID. On older versions, use Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.
  • Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): Google’s consent message asks for your choice before any ads load. You can change it at any time from the privacy/ad consent option in the app’s Settings.
  • Remove ads entirely: with Pro, the ad SDK never starts. See Refunds and Terms for purchase details.
  • Google’s controls: manage data Google holds about you at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

Website cookie choices

This website only uses strictly necessary browser storage. You can review or change your choices at any time — here, or from “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Other privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Delete it — see Data Deletion for step-by-step instructions;
  • Correct inaccurate information; and
  • Portability — get a copy in a usable format. Your vault data is already under your control, and you can export it from the app.

In practice we hold very little: mainly emails you send us and purchase records from Google Play. To make a request, email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity, for example by asking you to reply from the email address you contacted us from or to give your Google Play order number. We will never ask for your PIN or vault data. See our Privacy Policy for more.

Authorized agents

You can ask someone else (an authorized agent) to make a request for you. We may ask for signed written permission from you, or proof of a valid power of attorney, and may ask you to confirm your identity directly with us. Agents can contact khanmudassir1248@gmail.com.

Appeals

If we decline your request, in whole or in part, you can appeal. Email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy appeal” and tell us which decision you disagree with and why.

We will respond in writing within 60 days (or 45 days where your state requires it) and explain what we decided and why. If we deny your appeal, you can contact your state Attorney General — for example, through their website’s consumer protection or privacy complaint page.

Non-discrimination

We will never deny you the app, charge you a different price or give you a lower level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
