One vault
Everything private, finally in one place

Website & app logins, Wi-Fi and secure credentials — with password history.
Cards
Credit, debit, membership, loyalty and gift cards.
Secure notes
Private notes, journals, checklists and code snippets.
Contacts
Emergency, personal, business and bank contacts.
Documents
IDs, certificates, records and scanned papers, with attachments.
Reminders
Renewals, expiries, bills and custom reminders.
Digital assets
Crypto wallets, API keys, SSH keys and server credentials.
Zero-knowledge by design
We built it so that even we can't get in
No servers means there's nothing to breach, subpoena or sell. The only copy of your vault is the one you hold.
- Step 1
Set a PIN, add biometrics
Your PIN derives the key that unlocks a random 256-bit master key, sealed in the Android Keystore. The PIN itself is never stored.
- Step 2
Everything is encrypted on your phone
An encrypted database, with every item individually sealed using AES-256 and integrity-checked with HMAC-SHA256.
- Step 3
Back up only if you want to
Encrypted .pvbackup files go to your own storage. We never see them — or anything else.
Features
Powerful where it matters. Quiet everywhere else.
Serious tools for your digital life, wrapped in an app that feels calm to use.
Password generator
Strong, random passwords from 4 to 128 characters using a cryptographically secure generator.
Strength meter
See instantly how strong a password is while you type or generate it.
Two-factor codes (TOTP)
Generate 2FA codes right inside the vault — computed fully offline to the RFC 6238 standard.
Password health
Spot weak, reused and old passwords, and fix them one tap at a time.
Password history
Changed a password and need the old one? Previous values are kept, encrypted.
Clipboard auto-clear
Copied secrets are wiped from the clipboard automatically after 30 seconds.
Scan text from photos
Capture card numbers or document details with on-device text recognition. Images never leave your phone.
Reminders that survive reboots
Get notified before a card, passport or subscription expires — scheduled locally on your device.
Our promise
What we don't do matters as much as what we do
Most apps ask you to trust their cloud. Personal Vault removes the cloud from the equation.
Full disclosure: the app shows non-personalised ads from Google AdMob, which processes limited device data to serve them. Your vault is never available to it. Privacy Policy
No account
No sign-up, no email address, no password to a service that could be breached.
No servers
We don't run a cloud. Your vault never passes through infrastructure we control.
No analytics
No tracking SDKs in the app. We don't know what you store, or how you use it.
No sale of data
We don't have your data to sell — and we wouldn't if we did.
Is Personal Vault really free?
Yes. Every feature — all seven vault categories, the password generator, 2FA codes, password health, backups, import and export — is free with no limits. The app shows non-personalised ads.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no online account. You set a PIN on your phone and start using the vault immediately.
Can you see my passwords?
No. We don't run servers and your vault never leaves your device unless you create a backup or export — and backups are encrypted before they leave. We have no way to read, reset or recover your data.
What happens if I forget my PIN?
If you enabled fingerprint or face unlock you can still get in. Otherwise your vault cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us. That's the trade-off of real encryption. If you have a backup protected with a backup password, you can reinstall and restore it.
Why does a privacy app show ads?
Ads let us keep every feature free without accounts, subscriptions or collecting your data. The app requests non-personalised ads only, and your vault contents are never available to the ad SDK.
How do I move my vault to a new phone?
Create a backup protected with a backup password, then install Personal Vault on the new phone and restore from that backup (by copying the file across). Without a backup password, a backup is tied to the original device.
Take your secrets back.
