Our commitment
Personal Vault is committed to making the Personal Vault website (https://personalvault-web.vercel.app) and the Personal Vault Android app accessible to people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of quality — not as an afterthought — and we keep improving it with every release.
Conformance status
Our target for this website is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We consider the website partially conformant: most content meets the standard, but some parts may not yet fully do so (see Known limitations).
Accessibility in the app
The Personal Vault app is built to follow Android accessibility guidelines, including:
- TalkBack support — buttons, icons and form fields carry descriptive accessibility labels.
- Dynamic font size — text respects your system font-size setting.
- Sufficient contrast — text and key controls are designed to meet contrast requirements.
- Light and dark themes — choose the one that suits you, or follow your system setting.
- Alternative unlock methods — biometric unlock is always optional, with a PIN available as an alternative for people who cannot use fingerprint or face recognition.
Measures we take
On this website we:
- use semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks and lists;
- provide a “Skip to content” link;
- make every interactive element reachable and operable with a keyboard;
- show a clearly visible focus indicator;
- respect your operating system’s “reduce motion” preference;
- choose colour combinations that meet WCAG contrast ratios;
- never rely on colour alone to convey meaning;
- allow text to be resized up to 200% without loss of content or function;
- build our cookie consent dialog to be accessible — it is announced to screen readers, traps focus while open and can be operated entirely by keyboard.
Legal frameworks
We take the following laws and standards into account:
- European Union — the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), applicable from 28 June 2025, and the harmonised standard EN 301 549.
- United Kingdom — the Equality Act 2010.
- United States — the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (for information; Section 508 applies to federal agencies).
- Canada — the Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and, in Ontario, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- India — the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW).
- Australia — the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA).
Microenterprise status
Under the European Accessibility Act, microenterprises providing services may be exempt from some obligations. Regardless of whether that exemption applies to us, we aim to meet the Act’s requirements anyway.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We want to be honest about it:
- Advertising in the app. Ads shown in the app are provided by Google and rendered by Google’s software. We cannot fully control their accessibility, and some ads may not work well with screen readers.
- PDF exports. Some PDF exports, particularly those created with older app versions, may not be tagged for screen readers.
- Platform availability. The app is currently available for Android only.
If any of these affect you, contact us and we will do our best to help or provide an alternative.
Compatibility
This website is designed to work with:
- recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge;
- screen readers including TalkBack (Android), NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS and iOS).
The website may not display optimally in older browsers or with assistive technologies we have not tested.
Feedback and contact
If you run into an accessibility barrier on the website or in the app, or need information in a different format, please email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com. Tell us:
- the page URL or app screen where you had a problem;
- what went wrong and what you were trying to do;
- the device, browser and assistive technology you use (if you are comfortable sharing it).
We aim to reply within 3 business days. On request, we can provide the content of this website — including our legal documents — in alternative formats such as plain text or large print.
Complaints and enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the authority responsible in your country, for example:
- European Union — the national market surveillance authority responsible for the European Accessibility Act in your member state.
- United Kingdom — the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) enforces the Equality Act; for advice, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) (or the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland).
- Elsewhere — your national human rights, disability or consumer protection body.
We would always appreciate the chance to fix the problem first.
How we assessed this
