1. Overview
Every feature of Personal Vault is available for free. The free version is supported by ads. Buying Pro removes those ads. It does not unlock extra features, so you can try everything the app does before deciding whether to pay.
Try before you buy
Use the free version for as long as you like. If you decide to go Pro, nothing about your vault changes: your data stays encrypted on your device, and we never see it.
2. Plans & prices
| Plan | Type | Price (same in every country) | Renewal | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free download | Free | Not applicable | All features, with ads |
| Pro Monthly | Auto-renewing subscription | US$2.99 per month | Renews every month until cancelled | All features, no ads |
| Pro Lifetime | One-time in-app purchase | US$49 once | None — pay once | All features, no ads |
One price worldwide. Google Play charges the equivalent of the US dollar price in your local currency, including any applicable taxes, so the exact amount can vary slightly with exchange rates.
We do not offer different prices for different countries. We do not currently offer a free trial. If we offer one in future, Google Play will show you its length, the price that applies afterwards and how to cancel before you are charged.
3. How billing works
- All purchases are made through Google Play and charged to the payment method in your Google account. The Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play’s payment policies apply.
- We never see or store your card or payment details. Google shares only limited purchase information with us, such as the order number and purchase status, so we can activate Pro.
- Pro costs the same everywhere: US$2.99 per month, or US$49 once for Pro Lifetime. Google Play shows and charges the equivalent in your local currency and, where required, includes applicable taxes such as VAT or GST. Your bank may charge extra fees for foreign-currency transactions.
- Pro is linked to the Google account used to buy it. We do not guarantee that Pro can be shared through Google Play Family Library or with other members of a family group.
4. Pro Monthly subscription
Automatic renewal
Pro Monthly renews automatically at the end of each month. Google Play charges the renewal price to your payment method unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Google Play shows your next renewal date in your subscription settings.
Upgrading to Lifetime
If you have Pro Monthly and buy Pro Lifetime, remember to cancel your monthly subscription in Google Play — buying Lifetime does not cancel it automatically. If you were charged for a new month after upgrading, contact us and we will refund that renewal.
How to cancel
You can cancel online at any time, in a few taps:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Personal Vault.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
Or go straight to your Personal Vault subscription in Google Play. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
After you cancel
You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, ads return and the app continues to work as the free version. Your vault data is not affected in any way. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not by itself refund the current period (see Refunds).
Price changes
If we change the price of a Pro subscription, Google Play will notify you in advance as required by its policies. Where Google Play or the law requires your agreement to a price increase, the new price will not apply unless you accept it; if you do not, your subscription will end at the close of the current period. You can always cancel before a new price takes effect.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Google Play may give you a grace period and/or place the subscription on account hold while you update your payment method. During a grace period you normally keep Pro; during an account hold Pro may be paused. If the payment problem is not fixed, the subscription is cancelled and the app returns to the free version. The exact timings are set by Google Play.
5. Pro Lifetime
Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase of US$49. You pay once and there are no renewals.
What “lifetime” means
“Lifetime” means for as long as we continue to offer and maintain Personal Vault. It refers to the lifetime of the app, not of the purchaser. If the app is ever discontinued, we are not obliged to give a refund except where the law requires one. Discontinuing the app would not delete the data on your device.
- Pro Lifetime is tied to the Google account used to buy it. You can use it on any Android device signed in to that Google account where Personal Vault is installed.
- It cannot be transferred to a different Google account.
- When you get a new device, restore the purchase as described below.
6. Restoring purchases
Pro usually activates automatically. If it does not, for example after reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone:
- Make sure the Google Play Store on your device is signed in with the same Google account you used to buy Pro.
- Open Personal Vault and go to Settings > Remove ads.
- Tap Restore purchases.
- If Pro still does not appear, check your internet connection, update the Play Store and the app, then uninstall and reinstall Personal Vault and try again. Back up your vault before uninstalling, because uninstalling deletes the vault on that device.
Restoring a purchase restores Pro only. It does not restore vault data. To move your data, use an encrypted backup.
7. Refunds
Within 48 hours of purchase
You can usually request a refund directly from Google Play within 48 hours of buying. Follow Google’s instructions at Google Play refund help. Google decides these requests under its own policies.
After 48 hours
Contact us at khanmudassir1248@gmail.com with your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA. and appears in your Google Play order history and receipt email). We will review your request and reply within 3 business days. If we approve it, we issue the refund through the Google Play Console to your original payment method.
When we usually approve a refund
- you bought Pro by accident and have contacted us promptly;
- you were charged twice for the same thing, or for Monthly after upgrading to Lifetime;
- Pro does not activate even after following the restore and troubleshooting steps above; or
- you are entitled to a refund under the law that applies to you.
Otherwise, refunds are at our discretion. For example, we do not usually refund a subscription period that has already been mostly used, or a subscription that renewed because it was not cancelled in time, but contact us and we will look at your situation fairly.
A refund removes Pro
When a purchase is refunded, Pro is revoked for that purchase and the app returns to the free version with ads. Your vault data is not affected.
Charges you do not recognise
If you see a charge you did not make, or someone used your account without permission, report it to Google Play through the same Google Play refund help page. Only Google can investigate unauthorised use of a Google account or payment method.
8. EU, EEA & UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have a right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
For digital content and services supplied immediately, such as Pro, this right can end once supply begins, provided you expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal. Google Play asks for this consent at checkout. If that consent was not properly obtained, you keep your 14-day right of withdrawal; contact us or Google Play to use it.
Separately, you always keep your statutory rights if digital content is faulty or not as described, for example under EU Directive 2019/770 or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. These rights may entitle you to have the problem fixed, or to a price reduction or refund.
9. Other regional consumer rights
Consumer protection laws in your country apply where they are mandatory, and nothing on this page limits them. Examples include:
- Australia: our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or other remedies the law provides.
- India: you have rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. You can raise a complaint or grievance with us using the contact details below, and we will acknowledge and handle it within the timelines those rules require.
- Brazil: where the Consumer Defence Code (CDC) applies to your purchase, including its 7-day right of withdrawal (direito de arrependimento) for purchases made outside a physical shop, we will honour it.
- South Korea, Japan and Turkey: mandatory rules on withdrawal, refunds and subscription disclosures for digital content apply where relevant.
- United States: state automatic-renewal laws, such as the California Automatic Renewal Law, require clear disclosure of renewal terms and an easy way to cancel online. You can cancel at any time in Google Play as described in section 4.
10. Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please contact us or Google Play before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. It is usually faster to sort it out that way. If a chargeback is made, Google Play may reverse the purchase and Pro will be revoked. This does not affect your right to use any remedy the law gives you.
11. Contact
For refund requests or billing questions, email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com. Please include:
- your Google Play order number (starting with
GPA.); - the plan you chose (monthly or lifetime) and the approximate purchase date;
- the email address of the Google account used to buy it; and
- a short description of the problem or the reason for your request.
Never send us vault data
We will never ask for your PIN, backup files, passwords or any other vault contents, and we do not need them to help with a purchase. Do not include them in your message.
You can find other ways to reach us on our contact page.
