There is no account to delete
No account, no server copy of your vault
Personal Vault has no sign-up and no user accounts, so there is no account to delete. Your vault is encrypted and stored only on your device — we never receive it. This page explains how to delete that data, any copies you made, and the small amount of data held by us or Google.
Deletion is permanent
Once you delete your vault, backups or exports, they are gone for good. We cannot recover them because we never had a copy. Export anything you want to keep first.
Quick checklist
- Delete items or erase the vault in the app, or uninstall the app.
- Delete any
.pvbackupbackup files and exports (JSON, CSV, ZIP, PDF) from your device, and from anywhere you shared or uploaded them. - If you used Google Drive backup: delete the hidden app data in Drive and revoke access.
- Optionally, delete or reset your Android Advertising ID.
- If you emailed us or bought Pro, email us to delete what we don’t have to keep by law.

| Google Drive backups | Hidden app-data folder in your own Google Drive | Delete hidden app data in Drive and revoke access — steps | Immediately, subject to Google’s own processing |
| Advertising data (free version) | Delete or reset your Advertising ID; use Google’s controls — steps | Immediately on your device; Google’s retention applies | |
| Purchase records | Google Play and our Google Play Console order records | Email us for anything not legally required — details | As long as tax and accounting laws require |

Vault data on your device
You can delete your vault data in any of these ways:
- In the app: delete individual items, or erase everything at once — look for the erase or reset vault option in Settings.
- Uninstall the app: this removes the encrypted database and its keys from your device. Android’s automatic cloud backup is disabled for Personal Vault, so no copy is kept in Android’s backup.
- Clear app storage: go to Android Settings > Apps > Personal Vault > Storage > Clear storage. (Menu names can vary slightly between phone makers.)
Local backups and exports
Backup files (.pvbackup) and exports you created (JSON, CSV, ZIP or PDF) are ordinary files. They are not deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Open your phone’s file manager and delete them from the
PersonalVaultfolder, or from the folder you chose when saving. - Check anywhere else you put copies — for example, email attachments, messaging apps, cloud storage, a computer or a USB drive — and delete them there too.
Google Drive backups
If you turned on Google Drive backup, your encrypted backups are stored in a hidden app-data folder in your own Google Drive. Uninstalling the app does not delete them. To remove them:
- Go to drive.google.com on a computer and open Settings (the gear icon).
- Select Manage apps and find Personal Vault.
- Open Options and choose “Delete hidden app data”.
Then stop the app from accessing your Drive:
- In the app, open the backup section of Settings and disconnect Google Drive; and/or
- revoke access at myaccount.google.com/connections (Third-party apps & services).
Advertising data
The free version shows non-personalised ads through Google AdMob. Any advertising data is held by Google, not by us.
- Advertising ID: on Android 12 and later, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete advertising ID. On older versions, use Reset advertising ID.
- Google’s data controls: myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
- Stop ads entirely: with Pro, the ad SDK never starts.
Google also gives us aggregated Android vitals (crash and performance statistics). This data cannot be linked to you, so there is nothing personal to delete.
Purchase records
If you bought Pro, Google Play processes the payment and keeps the transaction. We can see order records in our Google Play Console. We have to keep these records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (which can be several years, depending on the country).
- View your order history at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. Google’s own retention rules apply to its records.
- To ask us to delete any information we are not legally required to keep, email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com with your order number.

Support emails
If you have emailed us, ask us to delete the conversation at khanmudassir1248@gmail.com. We delete it within 30 days, unless we have to keep something by law (for example, to handle a legal claim).
Ask us to delete data
Email khanmudassir1248@gmail.com and include:
- the email address you contacted us from; or
- for purchase records, your Google Play order number (it starts with
GPA.).
We will never ask for your PIN or vault data
We don’t need them, and we don’t have them. Anyone asking for your PIN, recovery details or vault contents is not us.
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete it within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires. If we must keep something, we will tell you what and why. Personal Vault is provided by Mudassir Khan. Learn more in our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices, or visit Support.
