- Personal Vault is an offline password manager and secure vault app.
- Platform: Android (Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.personalvault.app). iPhone version: coming soon to the App Store.
- No account or sign-up. The developer runs no servers and cannot access vault contents.
- All vault data is encrypted and stored only on the user's device (SQLCipher database; each item AES-256-CBC with HMAC-SHA256; master key wrapped with a PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key derived from the PIN, 210,000 iterations; wrapped key held in the Android Keystore).
- Works fully offline. Internet is only used for ads, and update checks.
- Backups are optional and encrypted on the device first, as a local .pvbackup file.
- A forgotten PIN cannot be reset by the developer; without biometrics or a password-protected backup the data is unrecoverable.
- Price: free — every feature, no limits, supported by non-personalised ads.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. The developer does not sell personal information.
